I guess it's just too damn hot everywhere.
Here, in the SudOuest it settled in 10 days ago and no real end in sight!
I need a little rain for my vegetable garden. All I do all day long is water.
We see lightning in the east over the Correze at night...
This weekend we are looking at a run of 100 degree plus days....

Even here in north western Maine we have been in an unusual heat pattern. We have had cumulative about fourteen days of heat in the nineties. However we cool off at night - into the sixties. Plenty of rain, however.

Well, the latest forecast here is predicting a few days of temperatures hotter than 2003....It rained for 20 minutes here, sort of yesterday, but the forecast is for 0% chance of rain for the next ten days. Luckily I have a well and a pond here. Now as I write, I have the pump down the well...there is water, but ti's 18 meters down...and I'm watering the vegetable garden. I had to buy a very powerful pump to draw the water from my well. We had a very wet spring and early summer, but I am dreading the idea of an extended heat wave. I try to bike a lot and I have to do it in the early hours...then in the early fall, I work for a few weeks at Chateau Vieux Chevrol...that's 8 hours of heavy labor every day. In 2003, I was 10 years younger than I am today, but in a lot of ways, I am 10 years tougher than then.....
