AVALON

About a year ago, I posted a duet with Chet Atkins and Les Paul playing Birth of The Blues. It's about time to listen to these guys again! This was recorded in 1973. They had been friends since the 1930's. Chets brother was the bass player for Les's first band. They were two of the greatest inovators of guitar technique and technology. Chet died in 2001 and Lester? well he's still going strong every Monday night live at the Irridium Club in New York City. I still get shivers when I hear them play together.
