SCHISM!

Hell, ain't nothiin' I like better than watchin' a good old intra denominational religious faction war...The religious right, the conservative catholic bishops have been working up to this for a long, long time and now, egged on by FOX NEWS which is fed by the mental illness of Conservatism in America, we may finally see a real religious war with millions of catholics having to choose whether they want to follow Pope Francis' literal interpretation of the words of Jesus or go self righteously to hell in the gas guzzling limo of their dreams. Cause, that's where we are heading folks! I am a militant ex catholic atheist and proud of it. I have to admit that I was a little disturbed when Francis seemed to be trying to do the right thing on so many levels, but it's the organization, the family business, the religious mafia. You can't fight it and he is cannot fight the plague of Psychopathic Personality Syndrome, (thank you Kurt Vonnegut) that has enabled the greed and disconnected most of the 1% from the real world they don't think they live in or exists. On one hand, you have the Most Holy and Righteous United States Catholic Bishops Conference and their constant conservative meddling in American Political matters. The latest, of course was Bishop Paprocki of Springfield, Illinois, who on November 20, 2013 pulled a blatantly political stunt by conducting an exorcism to protest the adoption of same sex marriage rights in that state. Conservative Catholics across America applauded Poprocki's activism, but when The Pope delivers a theological statement about the immorailty of Capitalism, every conservative talking head exploded simultaneously in condemning a religious figure for speaking of a reality they didn't want to hear. Personally, I would like to see a good old fashioned Schism! A personal bloody crusade led by say a new American Pope, Rush the First of the Good Old Reformed American Konservative Katholic Konference of real Katholics who Know how to Kill! Back in the day, Popes would lead armies to crush theological rebellions and had gang fighting factions that went out and kicked the asses of their factional rivals! They even had sex with their daughters and made their sons Cardinals!  Pretty Krazy Katholic Kool, huh? Rush might make a pretty cool pope if we could get him off of the prescription drugs.....
I guess Rush might cut a great figure with his obnoxious rabble rousing empty eloquence and the right costuming accessories...a color co ordinated miter and mumu ensemble perhaps....because America has already entered into the first stages of a real revolution. Though it has accelerated...we are already seeing the effects of the konservative war on the poor...It’s already happening with Vets and the disabled. It’s capital’s way of getting rid of “useless mouths”; cheaper than Hitler’s or Stalin’s methods. And they and the media just lies about it all the time for example:

Last week, The NY Times published a featured article about how the poor are struggling in New York City called
Invisible Child. Girl in the Shadows: Dasani’s Homeless Life. The piece is a chilling but worthwhile read.
It's a very sad look how families are trying to cope in poverty.
On December 8, the New York Times published the first in a five-part series on poverty in the city titled "Invisible Child," which featured the story of one of the city's 22,000 homeless children whose family currently resides at the Auburn Family Residence, a homeless shelter. The Times described the shelter as "a place where mold creeps up walls and roaches swarm, where feces and vomit plug communal toilets, where sexual predators have roamed and small children stand guard for their single mothers outside filthy showers."
That's no place to try and live, but that's what Mayor Bloomberg has set up for the many families that need serious assistance in his fine city. There's really no way to sugar coat the story or try to find hope in it at all except of course if you're a conservative publication like The NY Post. Here's how their
editorial board responded to the NY Times.
For this family, shelter, rental assistance and food stamps alone have added up to nearly half a million dollars since 2000. In addition, Medicaid covers health care. Even so, the parents have consistently failed to meet basic eligibility requirements.
Yes, the family’s housing has problems, including mice and reports of sexual assaults and other crimes. But the Times and Elliott, like much of the liberal establishment, seem to think it’s the city’s job to provide comfortable lives to outrageously irresponsible parents. In this case, that’s a couple with a long history of drug problems and difficulty holding jobs.
Something’s wrong with that picture.
If the city is at fault here, it might well be for having been too generous — providing so much that neither the father nor mother seems much inclined to provide for their kids. That would be a story worth reading.
I'm sure this made Rupert Murdock very proud. See, the rich are far superior to the poor or else they wouldn't be rich, get it? In fact the poors should be thankful that they have sexual predators, rats, roaches and decay to call their homes. In fact that's a little too good for them really. Reading about the staggering amount of poverty embedded in the richest country in the world is truly pathetic.
The blogger, Digby comments
on this with a nice observation.
Something very ugly has happened to American society in these last few years. It's not that there haven't always been people who thought the poor brought it on themselves. But agitating to throw these children into even worse circumstances was considered sociopathic. Which it is. Seriously, until fairly recently openly espousing this attitude toward the poor was very much frowned upon (in polite society at least.) We've reverted to a Victorian culture in which the wealthy, in order to justify their greed, gluttony and avarice, decided they no longer have to even pretend to care about anything but themselves. It's sick. It's Psychopathic. It's an epidemic. Greed empowers greed. Fear and economic instability create the conditions for desensitizing self induces psychosis. Of course religious grifters of all denominations play into this. This is the history of Conservatism in history. It's easy to become inured to how it' incrementally increased since President Obama took office. In a way it's a gift because now many Americans are seeing exactly what makes up conservative philosophy, but it also riles up the right wing fringes too who revel in the puss of those thoughts. There is a sickness in America today and the NY Post shines a light on exactly what it is.

All three religions of Abraham have schisms in their ranks. You would think they could talk to the magic invisible man and find an answer.
