Seven Souls
William Burroughs would have been 100 today. One of the 20th century's most difficult humans, but at the same time one of the most visionary. He collaborated with Bill Laswell and his rather elastically conceptual ensemble Material on a number of projects. This is one of them. A reading by Burroughs with Laswell playing bass, keyboards and tapes from the 1998 recording, Seven Souls. Incredible cd, and there is an expanded version called The Western Lands with a pretty incredible roster of musicians.
