Another glimpse of the man named Vivian Stanshall, artist, writer, poet, rock musician, actor...the last thing he wanted to be referred to was "eccentric" because he thought the word seemed to infer that he was putting on an act.
This is from one of his last appearances. He died on March 5, 1995 at the age of 52.

Fascinating. I think I like it but I'm not sure.
In my book, it is absolutely brilliant. Stanshall defied classification, explanation...well, he just defied....I am so stanshall these days....
