Day 6...shudda bin Day 5....

That's right, this should have been my post last night, on Day 5 of Zappadan.
A few of the Zappadan b;loggers have written very interesting pieces regarding the connections that Frank Zappa has had with various other artists and the degrees of separation....
Here is a video shot originally on 16mm film of Frank Zappa during his stint at the Filmore East in 1971 which resulted in the Mothers Live At The Filmore Album.
Two of the guest performers were newly arrived New york residents, John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Ther is a recorded performance of Yoko with Frank and John called Scumbag, which is classic Yoko.
This, though didn't make it on any record, John performing an old Rock song which he claims he hadn't sung since he was on stage at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, Baby Please Don't Go.
I want to post this because yesterday was the 28th anniversary of John Lennon's assasination in New York. The song is pretty cool and John is pretty fresh on stage playiong impromptu with out a net!

Scumbag's sort of intense Freud-rock vamp. Lennon and Yoko with FZ/mothers quite superior to moptop jingles, I would aver.
