I'd say...Jeff Beck at 70 yrs old plays with over 50 years of experience and keeps generations of younger players trying to figure out what he is doing and how he does it. Just watching him control the tone of that strat is a marvel of meat on metal....no picks and seamlessly going from slide to fingers is amazing. The piece, Nadia was composed by a modern Northern Indian classicist and he nails it. But Tal Wickenfield? She's Australian under 30. Incredible bassist. You have to admit, Beck has done so much to put powerful female instrumentalists in the forefront than any other other musician I can think of...He worked with Jennifer Batten for years..and pushed his playing into the frontiers of techno/jazz/rock collaborating with her. Now he works regularly with bassist Rhonda Smith, who is one of the technically best modern players as well as totally immersed in classical technique. I have to admit, I think Beck is one of the premier instrumentalists on the planet.
