I thought that this was a very interesting piece in a historical context. After all the influence of "hate media" is not a new thing. We now have almost 80 years of media influenced sensationalist opinion that can be easily demonstrated in evidence of its influence on society and as Mike Papantonio points out on The Ed Schultz Show, hateful and violent rhetoric from the right existed back in the days of JFK, and many believe that this is what led to his assassination.
Hello Microdot, What a great post and if anything ever should go viral…..this posting is it.
Just like Yogi Berra said, “It’s like Déjà vu all over again.”
Albert Einstein said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.” There was also, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
Harry S. Truman said, “The only thing new in the world is the history you don't know.”
I was watching the Tavis Smiley Show last night and his guest was Rosanne Barr. She made the “tongue in cheek” statement that it was a tragic shame that the Right Wing Conservatives are abusing the mentally ill for their own political and financial purposes. The likes of Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, etc.
Anyone does have the right to openly discuss their opposition to any political policies or administrations, but there is also a responsible way to do it.

Bottom line, “History does repeat itself!!!”
Using Ed Schulz's show as an example of "tolerant" behavior is probably not your best bet.
