Your title, Pot of Rancid Tea, is ever-so appropriate for these pirates. Pirates they are! Seize the treasure and loot it while the dumbed-down citizens slumber on.

Great set of links!!

Hello Microdot,
Just as the Republican Party gets more fragmented with the many fanatical splinter groups branching off, the Party will grow weaker with internal fighting.

The task for the Democrats and Moderate Republicans is to unite and push through the agenda that is needed to progress this country and to say, “The Hell,” with those whom oppose us. The President needs to forget a bipartisanship with the balance of fringe groups or those whom want to represent them.

E of Kn,

Do Dems have a choice? We do have to make an offer to have the far right contribute in a positive way. They could apologize for one thing.

Anti-Patriot actors have a chance to get active right now. HIV/AIDS advocates can have impact right now. Homeless Veterans? Those close to or now homeless persons and families have incentive right now, if the Obama budget is passed as is.

These are all coalitions working fast and hard. They could stand having more voices in the coming days.

I'm sick and tired of Brown vs The Board of Education, Roe vs Wade and other rights for the people being watered down to so much Huck Finn's white wash paint.

I agree. Keep pushing the pencil. Keep opening minds. Keep noticing the hate.

Thanks for letting me vent here.

Vent all wish, moonlite, we all have to keep our mind focused on the big picture. We all have priorities that are not being addressed the way tht we wish they would right now, but as with the DADT issue in the military or gay rights in general, progress gets made incrementally and lines are drawn from which there is no turning back.
Yes, unifying as real opposition to the harmful, self interests and greed of the Republicans need to pander to corporate interests and the manipulated fear of the people...but you can't legislate attitude. Maybe America will never calm down and become the just nation it is capable of being, but we can't stop dreaming.

It will be quite enlightening to 'see' these teabaggers all assembled in one place. Hopefully the air-purification mechanisms are running well in the auditorium.

I'll need to turn down the brightness level of my TV due to all of the sparkling white faces in that massive crowd.

Did y'all say white? Honkey?
Tancredo just fired the opening salvo! Voter registration literacy tests! Take us back to Missisippi in 1962....
Answer these questions!

"If a person charged with treason denies his guilt, how many persons must testify against him before he can be convicted?"

"If a president does not wish to sign a bill, how many days is he allowed in which to return it to Congress for consideration?"

"If the United States wishes to purchase land for an arsenal and have exclusive legislative authority over it, consent is required from [fill in the blank]."

These are taken from an actual literacy test from the great state of Alabama...white people were never given this test!
