And now to think of something completely different, here is Anoushka Shankar, the daughter of Ravi Shankar in concert here in France just this last August. She is one of premier classical sitarists on the planet and like her father is pushing the boundaries of Indian classical technique and world music. For the last 3 years, she has been exploring a sort of fusion of classical Spanish flamenco and Indian music.
This is an incredible live 1 hour 13 minute performance that melds the best of both worlds.
The musicians:

Anoushka Shankar: sitar
Sandra Carrasco: vocals
Sanjeev Shankar: shehnai
Pirashanna Thevarajah: mridangam & ghatam (traditional Indian percussion)
Melón Jimenez: flamenco guitar
Bernhard Schimpelsberger: cajon and Spanish percussion

This was very interesting Dottie. I don't even know how to describe what I just heard, but I love it. Thank you.
