I have loads of questions about US economic statistics. The stats for unemployment are questionable since they only count people who have filed for unemployment. That means that school leavers who can't find jobs and the long term unemployed aren't counted. I know that some Cities in Michigan had real unemployement rates of somewhere around 30% (Flint, Saginaw, Detroit, etc.).
The problem is that the workers have been getting fucked for the last 40 years and the situation gets worse and worse.
