The Real Mad Hatter |
Lindsey Graham has been tossing the term scumbag about a lot recently. Let's get a little reality here. Who was the Senator who in 1998 busted for falsely claiming that he served overseas during the Gulf War?
The liar here is Sen. Graham. In a 1998, Roll Call article, Graham was busted for claiming that he did, when he clearly didn't:
Despite repeated statements that he served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Rep. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was actually living out of harm’s way at home in South Carolina, where he was processing wills and other paperwork for the Air Force during the entire course of the conflict.
On his official web site, Graham describes himself as “an Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm veteran.” Other biographies he has written read similarly. According to numerous military experts The Hill contacted, Graham has no legitimate claim to being called a veteran of the conflict.

Graham is presently engaged in a conflict of his own on his own turf. He is fighting 6, count 'em, 6 Tea Party affiliated challengers for his seat as a Republican Senator for South Carolina. He's the mad hatter of the Bengazi truther squad,
flogging it and wasting 14 million dollars of tax dollars down a black hole of conflicting investigations that go around and around in spite of the fact that it boils down to a bunch of idiots playing word games. But for Lindsey, this is the one issue that he hopes will give him theTea Brain creds to feed his lunatic base. So Graham laughs while he calls President Obama and the White House scumbags. Let’s be clear about this Graham was definitely calling the President Of The United States a liar and a scumbag. This is part of the low that a much maligned senator as Lindsey Graham has to sink to in order to hold on to his seat in red state South Carolina. Republicans have been claiming for nearly two years that the president and his White House are lying about Benghazi.
The audio is from May 1, 2014 and on May 4, yesterday, Graham, perhaps already trying to duck the blow back from his own language, actually claimed that over using the Benghazi issue will damage the Republicans in the mid term elections.
If you go back to the audio above, Linsey does drop his mask for a few seconds and though he wouldn't say it was so, a moment of truth from Mr. Graham: he said it:
"Our Democratic friends, for the most part, have been in the tank over Benghazi. Some guy said this about me yesterday on the left: The only reason I cared about this was because I have six tea party opponents. Well, if that's true, I'm the biggest scumbag in America."
—Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), self admitted serial scumbag, in a radio interview with Mike Gallagher.

At least he and I can agree on that one thing. My family still lives in SC and trust me when I tell you that like all recent Carolina political contests the biggest scumbag on the ballot will win that seat.
